Get to Know Tomie

Tomie has a Bachelor’s in Accounting and is a Certified Public Bookkeeper. She has worked in small and large CPA firms, as well as in various manufacturing companies.

She holds ethics to a very high standard and keeps this standard in everything she does. She enjoys working with start-up businesses, providing the information they need to get operations off the ground and stay in compliance.

Helping companies clean up their books and understand their bookkeeping is a passion of Tomie’s. She likes to review every detail of a business’s books, and once records are properly cleaned up, she will go over every detail of the books and explain why things were updated so you will understand.

Tomie has twins, a boy and a girl, and she enjoys spoiling and spending all her extra time doing anything to make them smile. She has a wonderful, supportive husband who she likes to go riding in their side-by-side with as much as possible with.

She truly loves her business, her clients, and what she does. To her, the work is so much more than just a job; she is very passionate about doing good work in everything she does.

Get to Know Bridgette

Prior to joining Silver Star Bookkeeping, I was a traveling stand-up comedian who also acted as an agent for other comedians. In addition to being on stage at least five nights a week, I produced multiple comedy shows throughout the Southeast, many of which were fundraisers for various organizations. With two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, I learned a great deal about the importance of keeping accurate and organized information pertaining to how a business handles its finances.

I have extensive experience in service industry management and retail management. However, I find true excitement in working with small businesses behind the scenes to help them obtain their goals.

I live in Hixson, TN with my dog Bo and my beau, Brad. At home, I enjoy puzzles, videos games, card games, board games … really, just put a game in front of me. When I’m not engaging my mind in some sort of creative activity, I can be found donating my time and energy to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, food banks, and more. Traveling is a the top of the list for me, though, and will take the opportunity to check out a new place whenever possible.

Even though I can be a leading lady, I am most confident in that of a supporting role for any business. My background and natural disposition bring a level of positivity and understanding to the table, making the delicate process of hiring a bookkeeper a little less daunting.

Hi! My name is Karlee! I graduated with my bachelor’s in accounting from Liberty University in 2022 and have been with Silver Star ever since. I believe one of the keys to a successful business is proper accountability of a business’s financials. I love seeing small businesses grow & blossom and it all starts with the bottom-line number!

I consider myself a self-driven, motivated individual. I always see an opportunity for continuous growth within myself. I like to critically think in which problem-solving will put it to the test! I am an overall optimistic person and love to impact others in a positive way!

I was born and raised in Carrollton, GA. After 7 years of my husband serving in the United States Marine Corps, we have settled down in Alabama with our children, Emersyn and Carson. In my free time, you can find me spending time with family and friends, doing any type of outdoor activity, or bringing awareness to congenital heart disease!

Hi! My name is Katelin, I grew up in a small town in New York but after graduating high school I moved to Southwest Florida and have been here ever since. I spent the last four years working for Amazon, where I excelled in management roles and eventually became an assistant operations manager. I decided to make a significant career shift and become a bookkeeper, a role that allows me to utilize my attention to detail and organization skills.

This new position not only is a new challenge but also gives me the flexibility to manage my responsibilities as a mother. I have two little boys named Adryan and D’Angelo. This fully remote job is something I always envisioned myself doing since I became a mother.

I love spending any free time I have with my children and fiancé. I am very excited to start my journey here at Silver Star and can’t wait to see where it takes me!

My name is Blake. I have lived in Knoxville where I was born and raised, Murfreesboro, Nashville and Chattanooga. I love living in Tennessee and spending time outdoors. I have 2 kids who I adore and love spending every second with, Rowan and Ruby.

I hope to bring my decade of Amazon operations experience combined with a passion for numbers and people to Silver Star. I started in an entry-level role at Amazon in 2012 then I was promoted to Area Manager and ultimately served as an Operations and Building Manager within Amazon’s AMXL Global Specialty Fulfillment. After transitioning from a logistics career with Amazon. I wanted a job that dealt with numbers, so what better way then an accounting job at a third-party logistics firm.

It was there I discovered equal enthusiasm for leadership and bookkeeping and was looking for a job to blend my operational insight with financial precision. I hope to become a great asset here at Silver Star Bookkeeping.
